Born in December of 1997, and at two months of age, started her career of greeting customers, blocking door entrances, riding in front seats, retrieving doves, ducks, pheasants, quail, woodpeckers, crop dusters, B52 bombers, space stations, meteorites and anything else that may fall from the sky. More importantly, she diligently cared for her person, Dr. Jerry Skidmore, for almost 15 years.

Hello, Katie here. I have been at Mount Pleasant Animal clinic now for 12 ½ years. When I first started working I was an assistant, worked my way up to technician, and now have recently been promoted to office manager. I have 5 animals of my own. (Turns out I’m not a good foster mom.) I feel sorry for my 2 year old already. Which brings me to the rest of my family. I have a husband of 5 years and a beautiful little girl. She takes after her father most of the time. I enjoy helping people and animals. God could not have picked a better line of work for me. I am very proud to be part of the Mt. Pleasant Animal Clinic team.

The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.” (Proverbs 12:10)

Jennifer pic.JPGGreetings to all. My name is Jennifer. I am from Saltillo and Mt.Vernon. I grew up on a dairy farm and we had animals big and small and all sizes in between. I graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1989 and I graduated from Texas Women's University in May of 1993 with a BBA. I became an airline pilot and then flew corporate airplanes for 11 years. For a slower pace of life, my husband and I live on a farm and raise registered cattle. We also have a llama, three dogs, ducks and geese. The dogs are our furry face children. My parents have granddogs. The oldest is almost 13 years old, an English Setter named Speckles. The next is a 12 year old Yellow Lab named Hana. And last but not least the newest addition to our family is a 1 1/2 year old Black Lab named Suzie. Animals big and small have always been a big part of my life. Dr. Skidmore has been their Doctor for all of their lives. He has been there for us through all of our checkups and our few emergencies that we have had over the years. When I was just a client/patient of Mt. Pleasant Animal Clinic it felt like a second home for us. As an employee it is a second home for us. I am so proud to be part of a wonderful, professional and caring environment.

kasey.JPGHey Guys!! My name is Kasey. I have work for Dr. Senn and Dr. Skidmore now for 1 1/2 years as lead receptionist. Growing up, my parents were told that they would never have grandkids! Oh, how I swore I was only going to have a plantation of strays and they could claim grand pups. But, as it turned out I was wrong. I was blessed with 3 beautiful children. Which drove me to choose a profession that was family oriented and understanding when it came to their needs, which leads me to love every moment of working here at Mt. Pleasant Animal Clinic. Not everyone gets to say they love their job and honestly mean it. But, when your job becomes like family, it's hard not to. I plan on being my bubbly, spunky, smiling self and continuing to watch this clinic as well as it's cliental grow everyday for many more years to come.

I have two dogs that mean the world to me – Zeus, and Bella Ray. I enjoy my job so much. I could not have picked a better place to work . I am very proud to be apart of Mt. Pleasant Animal Clinic team.
